Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann have to be one of the most lovable couples to ever exist in Hollywood. Their marriage is one of the Hollywood's rare success stories, and they have endured 20+ years of marriage, which is basically a lifetime in Tinseltown. According to Us Weekly, the pair met on the set of The Cable Guy in 1996. It was love at first sight for Apatow, who told Elle in 2012 that he thought "there goes the future Mrs. Apatow" when he first laid eyes on her (cue the heart explosions). "I had a soul connection instantly," he continued. "I meant it. That's why I remember it." Shortly thereafter, the couple would have their first date, which consisted of watching the 1995 film Heavyweights(which Apatow wrote)and a lovely meal that included "spaghetti with Ragu sauce and Wonder Bread with Fleischmann's margarine."
Mann had a crush on Ben Stiller at the time, but Apatow swept her off her feet with his sense of humor and world-class cooking skills. While it was not love at first sight for her, she said that she realized she loved Apatow the morning after their adult sleepover and the couple tied the knot in June 1997. Mann and Apatow now share two children, Maude Apatow and Iris Apatow, who happen to be really popular on social media — Maude has 647,000 followers and Iris has 444,000 followers. Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann aren't perfect and they do fight

Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann are so perfect for each other that, quite honestly, it makes us sick. However, that does not mean that all aspects of their marriage are always as good as they seem. When sitting down with the ladies of The View in November 2019, Apatow shared the details on a viral fight that he and Mann had outside of a swanky eatery in Los Angeles (via Page Six). "That was just the fight at Katsuya; you should have heard the rest of it at Pinkberry," Apatow joked about the shouting match. "I've been married for 22 years. I have fought in every restaurant in Los Angeles: McDonald's, In-N-Out Burger, Nobu — you name it," he continued.
When Joy Behar asked Apatow what the two bicker about, his answer was anything. "We engage, and I think that's why our relationship is healthy," Apatow continued. "Then you get a call, like, 'What do you say? We saw you guys, that you were, like, debating something in a restaurant.' I was, like, really? Have you been married? Do you know what marriage is?" Clearly, it's not always rainbow and butterflies, but we have to applaud Apatow for being so candid about the hard times.

When it comes to writing comedies, Judd Apatow is a living legend. According to his IMDbprofile, he has written a slew of hilarious films, including The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Pineapple Express, and Funny People, just to name a few. And while it's clear that he has a knack for writing, few people know that many of his characters are based on his relationship with Mann. Say what!?Yep, we were just as surprised as you are. In 2009, Mann told ABC News that some of her husband's most hilarious moments in film spiraled from real-life moments between him and his wife.
One particular instance was in the movie Knocked Up, when Seth Rogen kicks Katherine Heigl out of the car on the way to her gynecology appointment. It turns out that actually happened between Mann and Apatow and she gave the deets in her interview. "We had a fight going to the gyno's office when I was pregnant for the first time," Mann shared. "I kicked him out the car. He deserved it. It was fun to see it on-screen." The actor also dished that she has such a "good time" working with her hubby, adding that he's such a "great director." Mann also revealed she and Apatow have been better about picking their battles. "I used to hold grudges," she joked. "Now, I let them go because I have a bad memory."

It's hard to believe that Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann have more than two decades worth of marriage under their belts. In 2017, the couple celebrated their milestone 20th anniversary with plenty of cute and funny antics. Apatow shared a sweet black-and-white photo from their wedding day on his Instagram page, and his caption was equally as charming. "Today is the 20th anniversary of my marriage to the brilliant, hilarious, amazing Leslie Mann," he wrote. "The greatest thing that has ever happened to me."
And, if that was not enough, the producer also shared a hilarious message for his beloved wife on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. While sprawling out on a red velvet couch, Apatow read from a teleprompter as all hilarity ensued. "Leslie, it's me Judd. Or as I call myself, Judd the stud," Apatow said. "You're the freak to my geek, the 40-year-old to my virgin, and you're the best mother in the world."
Mann has been way less active on social media than her husband, but she has still made sure to share a few sweet photos with her mann (see what we did there?) by her side. "Happy birthday Judd! We love you," she wrote on Instagram in December 2019. We don't know about you, but we totally think that Mann and Apatow are #relationshipgoals.
