Assessment: $70
A Pharmacist will conduct the required assessment to review symptoms and confirm eligibility before any tests are performed. Assessment costs may be covered by insurance. Contact your insurance for coverage details.
Strep throat test: $59
A strep throat test involves a swab of the back of the throat. Test costs may be covered by insurance. Contact your insurance for coverage details.
Flu test: $88
A flu test involves collecting a respiratory sample, through a swab taken from the nose or throat. Test costs may be covered by insurance. Contact your insurance for coverage details.
COVID-19 test: $88

How quickly can I be seen?
You may schedule an appointment in as soon as two hours, or walk in any time the pharmacy is open.
Do I need an appointment?
Appointments are not required. Feel free to walk in to any of the Walmart Pharmacy locations in the states listed below and ask for the Test & Treat service.

Will I be able to get my test results the same day?
All tests provided are rapid, molecular point-of-care tests, with results available as quickly as 15 minutes.
Will you have to contact my doctor for a prescription?
For all patients who test positive, the pharmacist will be able to prescribe treatment, as long as there are no contraindications. Our pharmacists will contact patients who are prescribed treatment within 72 hours to follow up and check on how they are feeling.For patients who test negative, the pharmacist will speak with them about symptom management and next steps.If a prescription is given, your primary care provider will be notified.
Can children be tested?
Yes, children as young as 3 years old can be tested for flu and strep. Children as young as 12 years old can be tested for COVID-19. Age restrictions vary by state—contact your pharmacist for more details.
Are there people who can’t receive this service?
People who are pregnant or breastfeeding are unable to receive Test & Treat services for flu and strep at their local Walmart pharmacy. Other restrictions may also apply. If you think you are having a medical emergency, contact your doctor or call 911 immediately.
